Tequila's is our favorite Mexican restaurant. The chips and salsa are always plentiful and the food portions are generous and flavorful.
A lot of the staff have been there for years and years and are always friendly. We order the cheese sauce for our chips and it's very tasty.
Large soft drinks are provided when ordered so you rarely run out and if you do they aren't stingy with refills.
The only bad thing I can say is there is never enough tomato with my meal. I like more than a garnish though.
We've gone to Tequilas for about 12 years and it consistently stays delicious and a good deal. My favorite is the quesadilla rellena and the hubby's is burrito fajita steak. -

I know this restaurant is in the middle of nowhere. But it serves a very good Mexican food for lunch and dinner. The price is very good too (<$7 for lunch). I like the fajita casadias and the Chimichanga. Other items on the menu are equally good. I worked at the GE Mt Vernon facility for 4 years and this place saved me from starvation with their yummy food.

Really the only good Mexican / Latin restaurant in Mount Vernon now. The food is always good (I lived in South Florida for about 12 years, so I have some experience with the flavors). I suggest the Masas de Puerco or the Chicken on the Beach (I think that is what it was called). Yes, the Pollo Loco is good too but dare to be different!
